WE-Mentorship Program
Fall 2025
WomEconomics is proud to launch the first WE-Mentorship Program—a 3-month journey designed to support students, graduates, and early to mid-career professionals—especially women—in economics, finance, business, tech, project management, and related fields.
This Fall (September–December 2025), we are bringing together aspiring professionals with experienced mentors to create a meaningful impact and connections that foster career clarity, growth, confidence, and community.
Program Objectives
- Empower mentees to make informed decisions about their career paths and impact
- Bridge the transition from academia to the workforce with practical mentor guidance
- Promote leadership development through skill-sharing, goal-setting and accountability
- Increase representation of women—especially from underrepresented backgrounds—in economics, finance, tech, and related sectors
- Build a sustainable and inclusive mentorship community that reflects WomEconomics’ global and intersectional mission
Who Can Join?
Mentors
- 2+ years of mid-to-senior level experience (Manager, Director, VP, etc.)
- Background in economics, finance, tech, policy, or related fields
- Passionate about mentorship and youth development and making and impact
- Resident of Canada
Mentees
- Students, recent grads, or early-career professionals
- Actively seeking career support, and a desire to grow personally and professionally
- Resident of Canada

Mentees
- Personalized Guidance with one-on-one mentorship from industry professionals who have been where you are. You will learn how to set career goals, navigate challenges, and confidently make informed decisions
- Real-World Insight into daily work in economics, finance, tech, business and related fields. Get your questions answered about navigating workplace culture, industry realities and transition from school to work
- Develop Job-Readiness skills with support on your resume, cover letter, interviews and networking. Build a strong personal brand and boost your job search confidence
- Accountability and Growth as your mentor will support you in staying on track, encouraging reflection, and growth throughout your mentorship experience
- Expanded Network by connecting with mentors, fellow mentees, and the WomEconomics community. Become part of a community that share your aspirations and support your success
- Benefit from Access to WE Events, WE Connect, WE Grow, career resources, and other WomEconomics Initiatives- providing opportunities to network, grow and engage with the community
Program Timeline
- Application Deadline: August 18, 2025 @ 11:59 PM
- Program Duration: September – December 2025
- Time Commitment: Minimum 1 session per month (45–60 minutes)
Application Process & Next Steps
- Submit Your Application – Fill out a short registration form by August 18, 2025 @ 11:59 PM
- Selection & Matching – If selected, you’ll be thoughtfully paired with a mentor or mentee
- Onboarding – Receive materials to prepare for your mentorship journey
- Kickoff Session (September) – Meet your match, connect with the community, and get officially onboarded!
